Public Profile Policy

Contents · 8 sections

This Public Profile Policy (the “Policy”) applies to public profiles on Staffcoder: the pages at staffcoder.com/username that show a member’s name, links and practice activity.

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

Public profiles are optional. To request one, you need a Staffcoder account and a LinkedIn profile that belongs to you. You may also add GitHub, X, LeetCode or a portfolio site.

Every link must point to a profile or site that is yours. We review each request by hand before a profile goes live.

Your username becomes the address of your profile. It must be 3 to 39 characters long and use only lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens, and it must not start or end with a hyphen.

Your username must not:

  • belong to or suggest another person, including celebrities, public figures and other Staffcoder members;
  • use the name of a company, brand, product or organisation, unless you are authorised to represent it;
  • suggest that you work for or speak on behalf of Staffcoder, for example “admin”, “support” or “official”;
  • contain offensive, hateful, sexual, violent or discriminatory words, including disguised spellings; or
  • be misleading, or be requested in order to sell it or hold it for someone else.

Some names are reserved for Staffcoder’s own pages and cannot be requested.

Your public profile shows:

  • your name, username and headline;
  • the links you added;
  • the month you joined Staffcoder;
  • how many challenges you have solved, by difficulty, and the technologies you practise most; and
  • your activity for the current year.

It never shows your email address, location, date of birth, plan, payment details, submissions or code.

We may approve a request, ask you to change something, or decline it. We email you the outcome, and the reason whenever we ask for a change or decline. You can update your request and apply again.

We may remove a public profile or reclaim a username if it breaks this Policy or our Terms of Service, if a link stops belonging to you, or if a person or organisation shows a better claim to the name.

Deleting your account removes your public profile. To remove your profile while keeping your account, contact us.

We may update this Policy. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
