This Content Creator Policy (the “Policy”) applies to anyone who creates or publishes material that features Staffcoder, including videos, live streams, articles, newsletters, social media posts, courses, workshops, bootcamps, and online communities.

In this Policy, “Staffcoder Content” means our challenges, including their text, starter code, and tests; our reference solutions; and our learning-path and premium material. This Policy sets out which uses of Staffcoder Content are permitted, which require our prior written approval, and which are not permitted.

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Where this Policy and the Terms of Service address the same use of Staffcoder Content, this Policy applies.

You may, without seeking approval:

  • discuss, review, or recommend Staffcoder;
  • share your profile, badges, streaks, progress, and certificates;
  • refer to a challenge by name and link to it on Staffcoder;
  • teach the concepts our challenges cover, using your own examples; and
  • show the Staffcoder interface incidentally, provided that no challenge text, starter code, test, or solution is legible.

The following uses require our prior written approval:

  • displaying the full text, starter code, or tests of a challenge;
  • publishing a walkthrough that solves a challenge in full;
  • sharing your own code for any challenge;
  • using Staffcoder Content in a course, workshop, bootcamp, or paid community;
  • translating or adapting a challenge; and
  • using the Staffcoder name or logo in a manner that suggests a partnership or endorsement.

Approval is effective only when given in writing. The absence of a response does not constitute approval.

We do not approve, and you may not:

  • publish our reference solutions, or any material available only on a paid plan;
  • share a contest challenge, or a solution to one, while the contest is in progress;
  • scrape, bulk-copy, or mirror Staffcoder Content on another website or repository;
  • sell Staffcoder Content, or use it to build, train, or populate a competing product or dataset; or
  • make false statements about Staffcoder, or present your material as made or endorsed by us.

Send requests to support@staffcoder.com with the subject “Content approval”, including:

  • your name, and a link to your channel, website, or course;
  • the challenges you intend to use, with links;
  • a description of the material and where it will be published; and
  • whether access to it will be free or paid.

We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Any approval we give is subject to the following conditions:

  • you credit Staffcoder and link to the relevant challenge, or to staffcoder.com, where your audience will see it, such as in a video description, post, or course material;
  • you use only the Staffcoder Content approved, and only for the purpose described in your request;
  • approval is personal to you and may not be transferred;
  • you do not imply that Staffcoder endorses you or your material unless we have expressly agreed to do so; and
  • we may require approved material to be amended or removed, for example where a challenge is moved into a contest, and you will make the change within 7 days of our request.

Where material breaches this Policy, we will first ask you to amend or remove it. If the matter is not resolved, we may request its removal from the platform on which it is hosted.

For account holders, a breach of this Policy is also a breach of the Terms of Service. Serious or repeated breaches may result in suspension or termination of the account under clause 13 of the Terms of Service.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Approvals granted before a revision remain valid for the use approved.

Questions about this Policy and requests for approval should be sent to support@staffcoder.com.
