Selenium Java Practice
Learn to build production-style Selenium test automation in Java through hands-on challenges, one concept at a time.
Locators & Element Basics
Learn how Selenium finds elements on a page: locating them five different ways, reading values from nested nodes, working with ids that change on every load, and telling hidden elements apart from missing ones.
Lighthouse Keeper's Log Board
Read a single watch entry from a keeper's log board, reaching the same entry through all five basic locator strategies and pulling its text and nested timestamp as separate values.
Seed Packet Label Reader
Identify seed packets on a shelf whose reference ids are reprinted on every page load, selecting them by stable attributes and partial matches instead of by id or position.
Ghost Town Directory
Audit a ghost town business directory and tell a listing that is missing from the page apart from one that is present but hidden from view.
Observatory Equipment Panel
Inventory an observatory equipment panel with reprinted serial numbers, instruments held on standby and instruments struck off, classifying every instrument and reading each specification from its nested node.
About this path
This path starts with locators, the base of every Selenium test. Each challenge gives you a small web page to automate with Selenium 4 in Java, so you should be comfortable writing a small Java program and reading HTML. No earlier Selenium experience is needed.
