AWS Practice
Build practical AWS skills by working with identity, resources, tags, S3, and core services using the AWS CLI.
AWS API Fundamentals
Work with AWS APIs to verify identity, parse ARNs, list resources, enforce tags, and build an account inventory.
Caller Identity & ARNs
Resolve who you are with STS and build and parse canonical ARNs for six resource types, with region and partition from configuration.
Paginated Listings
List seeded resources across four paged APIs completely, honoring page size and early-stop caps, with empty collections handled cleanly.
Resource Tagging Discipline
Enforce a required tag set across S3, SQS, DynamoDB and IAM - read, update and remove single tags safely, and report every non-compliant resource.
Account Inventory Auditor
One auditor for the whole account: STS-stamped, fully paginated across five services, keyed by canonical ARNs, with every tag violation listed.
S3 Buckets & Objects
Work with S3 to safely manage buckets, store and retrieve objects, handle metadata, browse folders, and build a document vault.
Bucket Create & Teardown
Create uniquely named buckets, recognize the already-exists case, check existence properly, and tear buckets down by emptying them first.
Object Round-Trips
Put and get objects byte-exactly, attach content types and user metadata, read metadata without the body, and handle missing keys deliberately.
Prefix Listings
Build folder-style navigation over flat S3 keys with prefix and delimiter listings - direct children, common prefixes, no leaks, full paging.
Document Vault
Stand up a team document vault end to end: idempotent provisioning, faithful storage with metadata, per-team folder browsing, and verified teardown.
About this path
This path starts with the AWS basics you use from the command line: working with the AWS APIs, and S3 buckets and objects. You work in a Linux terminal with the AWS CLI, so you should be comfortable running basic commands there. No earlier AWS experience is needed. The S3 module ends with a small document vault.
Frequently asked questions
4>What will I practice in this path?
2 modules: AWS API Fundamentals and S3 Buckets & Objects.
>How many challenges are there, and how hard are they?
8 challenges, all easy.
>What does this path run on?
Challenges run on Linux CLI.
>Do I need to install anything?
No. Every challenge runs in a browser-based IDE with everything already set up, and your code is graded automatically against a test suite.
